No thunder, no burning bush. This time, what descends from the sky is a question mark. With the tablets in one hand and a furrowed brow, Moses contemplates uncertainty as the new commandment.
A formal note with diplomatic mischief

Washington, Tehran or the Stratosphere – June 23, 2025
Twenty-four hours after President Donald J. Trump proudly declared that Iran’s nuclear program had been “completely and totally destroyed” by bunker-busting bombs and a barrage of Tomahawks, geopolitical reality –like uranium– seems more resistant to meltdown.
While the bombs did fall and headlines exploded, and the President claimed a biblical-scale victory, Pentagon corridors resonated with… more restrained tones. Top defense officials chose not to confirm the irreparable, while nuclear experts advise caution: “Blowing up a centrifuge is not the same as vaporizing uranium reserves,” they explain. Physics, it seems, doesn’t bow to rhetoric.
Vice President J.D. Vance, in his usual calm-yet-cryptic tone, told ABC News:
“We’ll work in the coming weeks to make sure something is done with that fuel.”
He was referring to that minor technicality: several tons of uranium enriched to 60% –enough for nine or ten homemade bombs, depending on who’s counting– that may not have been hit by the strike.
A detail some U.S. media outlets quickly picked up on, introducing a new key player in the saga: Doubt. That uncomfortable guest no drone can eliminate.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine tried to walk the fine line between “successful operation” and “we’ll see in a few weeks.” In their preliminary report, they spoke of “severe damage and destruction” at the three sites hit by B-2 bombers and Navy Tomahawks. Yet the key paragraph was the one left unsaid: real devastation is still under review.
Meanwhile, Iran says little. The regime remains officially silent, though satellite images show logistical movements that could be clean-up… or relocation. The shadow game has begun.
In short:
The official narrative celebrates a tactical win. But the strategic question lingers:
Was it a knockout punch or just a jolt?
Media triumph or postponed reality?
One bomb less… or one doubt more?
Uranium –that noble element indifferent to social media– remains a matter of weight.
