\ud83d\udc49 \u201cBeards banned.\u201d
\ud83d\udc49 \u201cTwice-yearly weigh-ins for all personnel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The return of the Department of War<\/strong> came with no half measures. \u201cThe mission is one: fight wars, prepare for wars, and win wars,\u201d thundered Hegseth in his 45-minute speech, with Trump nodding from the front row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo more walking on eggshells\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The new policy was branded with a reality-show style slogan: \u201cno more walking on eggshells.\u201d<\/em> Goodbye sensitivity protocols, welcome back boots, shouting, and flying bunks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hegseth even invoked his 15-year-old son:
\u201cI don\u2019t want my son serving alongside out-of-shape troops or female comrades unable to meet the same combat standards.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump drags Chicago onto the battlefield<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The president added his own spark:
\u201cChicago should be a training battlefield for our troops. We are under invasion from within,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Pentagon at war with itself<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

High-ranking officers, once untouchable, will now face twice-yearly weigh-ins. \u201cIf you don\u2019t like it, resign with honor,\u201d Hegseth declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But inside the Pentagon, sabers rattle: some warn the obsession with \u201cfats and beards\u201d may distract from China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump summed it up with a grin:
\u201cThe army of excuses is over. Now we\u2019ll have an army of warfighters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
